David Pailthorpe and his son Steve began to travel together as a father and son prophetic team, predominately working with church groups in Europe and Africa. The family worked closely with Jonathan Conrathe at Mission24 to support the mission work.
David Pailthorpe and his wife Sheena were the Senior Pastors of Cheam Community Church in Surrey, UK. The Pailthorpe family felt called to launch a Christian ministry to help facilitate their desire to travel to bring transformation to communities.
Following leaving their local church ministry, David and Sheena setup the charity, then called "Kingdom Mission" to facilitate projects working in Central Africa. A small group of local supporters helped to finance and support the early days of the charity.
Following the call on their lives, David and Sheena were sent to Burundi, in Central Africa to work with missionary Chrissie Chapman. They worked looking after over 50 orphaned children and worked with the local church in Bujumbura to help the community.
David and Sheena returned from Africa due to David's ill health. David later passed away in March. Steve joined the Leadership of the ministry later in the year as the charity was restructured.
Steve Pailthorpe was appointed as President of the charity and the name of the charity was changed to "Crown Global", reflecting the new vision and values.
